Budget accommodation, home stay. Not well maintained property. Cook was on leave, no food facilities are available nearby. Resort was very low from road level and way from road was very steep. Property is covered by tea plantation on one side and greeneries are covered. Play area was under repair. Room was ok, but fan was not working properly. Fan has loose contact problems and it's speed was changing and gets switched off automatically. No intercom to contact reception.

We visited Masinagudi in the month of April, owing to April temperature, we decided to book an AC accommodation. We paid an advance in January and had blocked a room for 2 people. What we got was a villa with a hall, a bed room, a kitchen (without any utensils) and a bathroom. They could have maintained it well. The wall had patches of cement unfinished. Bathroom could have been maintained better. We found a big size snail on the wash basin. In the bedroom, all of a sudden, water was pouring from the AC indoor unit and flooded our bedroom (Lion Villa). We requested for a fix. They provided us with another AC room immediately. Luckily there was no other guests in the resort (except us) that day. We shifted to the only other AC room(apart from the existing one where the mishap occurred). In the room that we moved in (Elephant Villa), the ceiling fan was hitting the inclined ceiling and we had to switch off the fan. We called (no Airtel signal, so we walked again to the reception desk) and asked what to do. Manager was unavailable and when contacted thru landline from reception, he asked why we needed a fan when there is AC. Then he suggested we move to non AC room, but we wanted AC accommodation and reserved 2 months in advance. We suggested to be provided at least a table fan, which was complied with and only then we could sleep. All these hardships after returning from a day's long travel and sight seeing trip and advance bookings and follow up!!!!! Phew!!!!!! One decent thing that the manager did without us asking for it was he charged us Rs 1750 + taxes instead of Rs 3000 + taxes. We think it was courteous and decent of the manager to do that, which we appreciate. Another good thing was the manager accommodated our driver with shelter.

Good hotel-staff are friendly . lots of open places to relax, stroll and take photos and do other stuffs also :) . Open Car parking is there for around 10 12 cars . Few more expansion is happening in the hotel .

Resort is located in the jungle that's a plus point. Its not easy to locate it on the road. Pictures looks much more nicer than original. Hotel room has tv but no channels other then the local one in Tamil. Rooms are ok

no proper facilities -Fans was not working - water heater was not working, if your are planing for ooty you will get better hotels in Gudalur city with less price, but food quality was good - you can plan for dinner if you take this holiday village.
